Ukrmilkinvest takes the lead in establishing the cluster “Natural milk”

In October 2009 a cluster “Natural milk”, which combines agricultural enterprises, operating in the sector of dairy farming in Rivne, Ternopil and Lviv regions, was established. The aforementioned undertaking was led by Ukrmilkinvest.
The cluster “Natural milk” represents consultative, organizing and informative interaction between the manufacturers of unpasteurized/raw milk and the establishments of market infrastructure in the sector of dairy products.
The participants of the cluster intend to solve the current issues in the market of dairy products, in particular: unjust procurement prices for unpasteurized/raw milk, long-lasting indebtedness of dairy process plants to dairy farms, decrease of livestock, negative volume variance and reduction of market share of the dairy products producers, etc. All the problems, mentioned above, have been agreed upon to be solved by joint efforts.
Chairman of the Board of Ukrmilkinvest - Mykhaylo Korylkevych in his speech at the statuary meeting seconded a proposal concerning an expansion of the geography of this cluster and attraction of new participants. Among other things, he stressed the fact that investors' interest in provision of finance to the homegrown agro-industrial enterprises would be in progress in 2010-2011, although, the bulk of the dairy products producers is not capable of entering the international financial markets independently. As a result of it, the given cluster is one of the modern instruments of competitive growth in the sector of agricultural enterprises, market structuring and investment prospects of dairy industry as a whole.
Ukrainian Association of Marketing is one of the partners of the cluster “Natural milk”.
